THE DECCAN ODYSSEY

Travel to beautiful beaches in Goa and Maharashtra, see the grand forts and palaces of the Marathas and the Osho Ashram in Pune on your Deccan Odyssey. Travel on a journey through beautiful scenery and heritage destinations, as you tour the historic sites of Ajanta, Ellora and Aurangabad. Your luxury train ride brings you back to the modern city of Mumbai, at the end of your magical Deccan Odyssey luxury train ride. See the cultural riches of the Deccan, on an unforgettable Deccan odyssey in India.

The Deccan Odyssey rail has 21 coaches out of which 11 are passenger cars with 4 coups each. There are 2 Presidential Suite Cars with 2 coupes each car. The train also has a conference car (can be redesigned as dance floor in the night) and two restaurant cars. There is also a lounge/bar car and one surprising addition is a Spa Car. Apart from the above there are generator cars with luggage store and staff car or spare car.

Itinerary (7 Nights / 8 Days)
Day 1 - (Wednesday) Mumbai
Start your journey at the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai and enjoy your dinner on the luxury train, as your Deccan Odyssey begins.
Day 5 - (Sunday) Pune
Tour the markets, museums and Rajneesh Ashram in Pune. See the Aga Khan Palace and enjoy the sound and light show at the Shaniwarwada Palace.
Day 2 - (Thursday) Jaigadh, Ganapatipule, Ratnagiri
See Jaigarh Fort, have lunch on the beautiful sandy beach at Ganapatipule and tour the historic Ratnagiri Fort.
Day 6 - (Monday) Aurangabad & Ellora Caves Tour
Travel to Aurangabad and Daulatabad. See Ellora, Biwi ka Maqbara, Shivaji Museum and the Aurangabad Caves.
Day 3 - (Friday) Sindhudurg, Tarkarli, Sawantwadi
Visit the Sindhudurg Fort, enjoy Konkani cuisine at Tarkali Beach and shop at the crafts village at Sawantwadi.
Day 7 - (Tuesday) Ajanta Caves & Nasik Travel
See the historic Ajanta Caves, travel to Nasik and visit a modern winery and see the scenic view at Gangapur Dam.
Day 4 - (Saturday) Goa
Arrive in Goa, have fun on the beautiful beaches, tour the churches and taste Goan food on your Deccan Odyssey.

Day 8 - (Wednesday) Mumbai / Bombay Tour
Enjoy your breakfast on the Deccan Odyssey luxury train as your tour ends in Mumbai.
 
 

The Train Tour departs from Mumbai every Wednesday afternoon & you have option to book for ANY Three Nights minimum part journey also.

* 10% Holiday Surcharge Extra For X-mass/New Year Tour Departures.

Cancellation Charges are as follows
* 5% of ticket value if booking cancelled 60 days in advance
* 20% of ticket value if booking cancelled 30-59 days in advance
* 50% of ticket value if booking cancelled 15-29 days in advance
* 100% of ticket value if booking cancelled less than 14 days in advance
