Shekhawati is popularly known for its original fresco paintings depicted on Mansions, Palaces, Cenotaphs, Windows, Doors, Entrance Gates, floors, ceilings, wells, etc. This is the semi-desert region in Rajasthan and just 4 hrs drive from the capital City, New Delhi.
It is also know as "The Open Air Art Gallery". ‘Shekhawati’ means ‘the land of Shekha’s clan’, it derives its name from Rao Shekha (1433 A.D –1488 A.D) a scion of the kachhwaha family of Jaipur. Earlier a part of former Jaipur state, it is now compromises of the districts of Jhunjhunu, Churu and Sikar .Initially the region had a blank monochromatic look but with subsequent historical and social developments it has blossomed into colorful profusion of art and life for almost two centuries from 1750 AD to 1930 AD.

After Breakfast, drive to Jaipur (200 Kms / 4.5 hrs). On arrival check-in to hotel. Free day to explore the Pink City Jaipur on your own or option to visit Chokhi Dhani Resort for traditional Rajasthani Evening and cuisines, full of Folk Dances and other traditional programs. - Jaipur Sight Seeing (with Elephant Ride) After Breakfast, enjoy Elephant ride at Ajmer Fort. Other places to visit - Jal-Mahal (The water palace), Jai-Mahal (Having largest canon of the world). Later visit to Hawa-Mahal (The Wind Palace), The City Palace and The Jantar-Mantar (The observatory). Evening at your own leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel. |
| Day 6
- Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra After breakfast, drive to Fatehpur Sikri - The Ghost City (4 hrs by road) Visit to Dargah of Holy Saint Salim Chisti and Fort. Drive to Agra - 45 minutes drive. On arrival check-in to Hotel and overnight stay. |
| Day 7
- Agra Sight Seeing - Delhi After Breakfast, full day city sight seeing of Agra. Taj Mahal - The monument of Love. Other Places to visit are Agra Fort and Sikandara. After Lunch, drive to Delhi (200 Kms / 4 hrs by road) and drop to IGI airport for your onward destination or you can choose other tour options from the our list inbound tours to India |
